What is the AUTOMADE HUB?

The AUTOMADE HUB is an administration panel used to manage robots within a company or organization. In the HUB you can, among other things, add new robots, store encrypted passwords, create user groups and assign macros to them from the Central Repository. In this article, you will learn exactly what functions the HUB has and how to use them.

AUTOMADE HUB interface

The HUB is divided into two main parts. On the left you will find a list of menu categories, and on the right the options for the selected category are displayed.

1. Homepage

This is the default menu that allows you to quickly navigate to the most commonly used HUB categories – Robots, Macros and Tasks.

2. Robots

The Robots category lists all the robots registered within the organisation and the tools for managing them. Each robot on the list has assigned values:

  • Name
  • User e-mail
  • Robot type
  • Description (optional)
  • Expiry date (optional)
  • Registration IP
  • Status

Pressing the button under Actions allows you to go to the editing options for the macro in question. In the first editing tab, General, you can change the expiry date of the robot, change its type or assign it to a selected group. Groups in companies can be specific departments, such as finance, sales or human resources, or any other project group. For more about groups in the AUTOMADE tool, their functions and use, read the article “What are groups in the AUTOMADE tool?”.

In the next tab of the “User” editing window, you can add a Description of the robot and edit the Name and E-mail of the person assigned to it.

The last tab of the robot editing window is RDP.

In this category, you can also register new robots, in other words, create new accounts for robot users. To do this, press the plus button in the top right corner of the panel and then fill in the necessary information. These are the same options that are available when editing a robot.

3. Macros – Central Repository

Here you can find all macros made available by robot users inside the organisation with the Publish Macro in the list view function. The Repository contains options for editing published macros and assigning them to specific groups. We describe more about the Central Repository in the articles:

  • What is the AUTOMADE Central Repository and what is it used for?
  • How to publish macros in the Central Repository?

4. Passwords and variables

This category includes any variable and encrypted passwords used in macros within a company or organisation. The function of storing passwords in the HUB significantly increases the security of accesses, as users of the robot do not have access to them…

We tell more about this category in the article “Passwords and variables in the AUTOMADE HUB”.
